Which Model S Plaid Paint Shop Template Should You Use?

Tesla publishes Model S (2021+) and Model S (2025+) Plaid separately. That directory split is the clearest compatibility signal: do not treat the 2025+ Plaid file as a universal template for every Plaid or every Model S.

Check the complete model in the vehicle information, Tesla app, or order configuration instead of judging from purchase date, wheels, or appearance. Inventory and delivery timing can cross model years, while the template labels refer to specific body versions.

If the vehicle information does not clearly map to a directory, preserve both blank files with their source names. Do not rename one to a generic model-s.png and begin designing on an uncertain body map.

Our editorial check follows the low, long Model S silhouette through three transitions: front fender to front door, front door to rear door, and rear quarter to rear bumper. A horizontal composition should survive all three without an unintended break at a seam.

The 2021+ and 2025+ Plaid files belong to separate directories, so do not scale an older canvas to chase newer landmarks. If the matching blank aligns but the artwork shifts forward or backward as a whole, inspect layer position and export dimensions.

On a copy of the correct blank template, place three small numbers: 1 at the center of the front door, 2 at the center of the rear door, and 3 on the rear quarter. Keep the canvas and transparent regions unchanged, then orbit the preview to confirm each number reaches its intended panel.

Remove the marks only after all three align, then add the final artwork. Keep text and logos inside one continuous region when possible; if a word must cross a door seam, use the three reference positions to estimate the readable area before fine-tuning.
